The gummies, the candies, the vapes, the drinks, how are they all legal? Do you really get high? What about the new medicinal dispensaries coming to Alabama cities? Join us to find out the similarities, differences and challenges of understanding the climate of Marijuana in the State of Alabama. Dr. Valentine will talk about the products that he has come across when working with Alabama teens and the precautions needed to consider with these products.

Presenter Bio:

Dr. Maurice C. Valentine is a native of Montevallo, Alabama. Maurice holds a Criminal Justice degree from Jacksonville State University and a doctorate from North Carolina School of Theology. He has a passion and a heart for people, and he desires to see them fulfill their purpose, which is evident by myriad of activities he is involved in. Maurice is the pastor of Life Changing Christian Center in Pelham, Alabama. Maurice serves as the Youth Coordinator for IMPACT Montevallo, a drug-free coalition that strives to educate and prevent youth substance use and encourage positive mental health. He serves as a mentor at Alabama Teen Challenge, Chaplain of Pelham High Athletics, and oversees mentoring groups at Montevallo Middle and Montevallo High Schools. In addition, he is involved with many other community, fraternal, and ministerial organizations.
