Sarah Hogan earned a B.S. in Psychology and M.Ed. in Counseling at her beloved alma mater, the University of Montevallo. During her tenure as a student, she developed a passion for the Montevallo community and is happy to call Montevallo her home. She has had the pleasure of working in the field of higher education, event management, local government, marketing, non-profit organization, counseling, and secondary education. Sarah is an enthusiastic life-long learner, resiliently committed to excellence and devoted to contributing to the achievement of others.

Maurice Valentine

Maurice Valentine is a native of Montevallo and has a heart for the youth of the community.  He is a mentor for Teen Challenge and serves as pastor of Life Changing Christian Center.  Maurice has worked with the Boys & Club and been a founding member of Impact Montevallo.

School Resource Officers

Impact Montevallo works closely with our School Resource Officers (SROs), who work diligently to provide safety, mentorship and education to students everyday at our local schools.  The Montevallo Police Department has shown a dedication to building community relationships and providing resources.  Impact Montevallo helps to provide anti-substance and violence curriculum for SROs to teach along with peer groups at each school, provides activities and events such as mentoring groups, video series, red ribbon week engagement, surveys and much more.

Sector Representatives

The DFC program requires funded coalitions to include active participation from 12 sectors of the community.  These identified sectors ensure that the coalition has a diverse group of perspective and participation to establish meaningful and successful strategies to create positive lasting change in our community. Coalition Members

 

Impact Montevallo has over 75 members, with an average of 12 attendees per monthly meeting. Active coalition members attend at least one meeting per year and receive information via our email distribution list and participate virtually in surveys and volunteer for the organization in a number of different ways. The coalition members are vital to the success in the community. Input from coalition members is critical to identifying the needs and challenges as well as strategies that are working well.
